A Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative brought warmth and joy to Asrama Kasih Sayang Orphanage Home as TF AMD, in collaboration with its Surau Committee, organized a special Breaking Fast event with 300 underprivileged children and volunteer staff. The meaningful gathering was graced by TF AMD’s Managing Director, Mr. Kwee, along with Farhan and members of the Surau Committee. The visit aimed to provide support and encouragement to the children while fostering a sense of community and care during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Asrama Kasih Sayang is a placement and care center for orphans and destitute children located in Sungai Petani, Kedah. In 2025, this dormitory housed 206 children, consisting of 98 male students and 108 female students. ​Primary school students attend five national schools around Sungai Petani, while secondary school students follow the Quranic lessons. All these destitute children live and study in the dormitory without being charged any fees, while the staff and teachers serve voluntarily without salary. ​

As part of their commitment to social responsibility, TF AMD contributed cash cheque amount, while employees generously donated cash through the Surau Committee, making a meaningful impact at the orphanage. The donation helped provide a breaking fast meal for 300 individuals at the centre, ensuring they could enjoy a hearty and fulfilling Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan. Additionally, 206 children were delighted to receive Duit Raya packets, adding to the joy and excitement of the festive season. The remaining cash balance was also handed over to the centre, further supporting their ongoing needs and welfare programs. This event would not be successful without the generosity of TF AMD employees.

The event featured heartfelt speeches by Mr. Kwee and the Principal of the orphanage Mr. Zainal Abidin, expressing gratitude and appreciation for the continuous support and generosity shown towards the centre. One of the highlights of the evening was a special prayer session led by the children, seeking blessings for TF AMD and its business endeavours. This was followed by a heartwarming choir performance by the children in Mandarin, a touching token of appreciation for the organization’s kindness and involvement.

As the evening concluded around 8:30 PM, Mr. Kwee further demonstrated his support by personally purchasing all the merchandise sold by the orphanage, contributing an additional to the centre’s cause. The event was a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness and unity, showcasing the importance of giving back to the community. TF AMD and its Surau Committee left with hearts full of joy, knowing they had made a positive impact on the lives of the children at Asrama Kasih Sayang.
