TF-AMD ushered in the Lunar New Year with not one, but two spectacular celebrations at Bayan Lepas Factory (BLF) on February 6 and Batu Kawan Factory (BKF) on February 12! The festivities were nothing short of electrifying, filling the halls with vibrant colours, heart-pounding drumbeats and plenty of good fortune.

From the get-go, emcees Zhy Yean and Faris brought their energy to the stage, hyping up the crowd and setting the tone for an unforgettable event. Then came the highlight of the celebration—the Lion Dance Ceremony. As the rhythmic pounding of drums and the clashing of cymbals echoed through the factories, a pair of majestic lions leaped and twirled across the floor, captivating the crowd with their synchronized movements. The excitement didn’t stop there! Adding to the festive chaos was the ever-cheeky Choi San Yeh (God of Wealth), who playfully tossed oranges to employees while the lions handed out more, symbolizing luck and prosperity. The thrilling performance had everyone cheering, laughing, and scrambling to catch oranges from the lions and Choi San Yeh!

Our Managing Director, Kwee Swee Lian, then took the stage to extend his heartfelt wishes to all employees, wishing everyone a prosperous and joyous Year of the Snake with the traditional greeting, Gong Xi Fa Cai! His speech set the stage for one of the most anticipated moments of the event—the Angbao distribution by the Heads of Departments (HODs). The atmosphere turned electric as employees enthusiastically rushed forward, eager to wish their HODs a Happy Chinese New Year in exchange for a red packet filled with festive blessings!

The celebration continued with the highly anticipated Yee Sang Tossing Ceremony. The HODs were fully engaged, attentively tossing the Yee Sang with enthusiasm to each lucky and auspicious phrase shouted by emcees Zhy Yean and Faris. As the colourful ingredients flew into the air, the cheers grew louder, symbolizing prosperity, success and great fortune for TF-AMD in the year ahead.

Of course, there was no shortage of photo moments, as everyone gathered for snapshots with the lively lion dance troupe and the ever-popular Choi San Yeh, spreading festive cheer. The lions then continued their blessing tour, dancing through various areas across TF-AMD’s buildings, peeling oranges and collecting Angbao from employees as a symbol of fortune and goodwill.

The celebrations truly brought out the festive spirit, uniting employees in a joyous and memorable way. With such an exciting start to the Year of the Snake, TF-AMD is ready to take on the year with energy, prosperity and success!
